HandiDam
Contamination from micro-organisms has always been a problem with any surgical procedure. DENTSPLY offers HandiDam, a recently launched rubber dam system that provides both moisture and infection control against potential contamination. HandiDam is a rubber dam material that has an integrated flexible frame. This frame is much thinner than the more conventional heavy and rigid contoured metal or plastic frames and ensures optimum patient comfort and acceptance.
Despite the material being just 0.24mm thick, it can be conveniently stretched without accidental tearing or breakage. The user-friendly design of Handidam means that there are no pre-punched holes, allowing greater clinical freedom and therefore maximising patient comfort.
HandiDam is essential for complete moisture control; it improves visibility and protects the buccal, labial and lingual areas in the oral cavity. Increased visibility and protection enable the procedure to be carried out effectively and efficiently and greatly contributes to the success in many dental treatments.
