X-Smart™ Dual Endodontic Motor
 

The latest innovation from DENTSPLY Maillefer is the X-Smart Dual, a new unit that combines an endodontic motor and apex locator.

This exciting new device can be used as a dual unit, alternatively, both the motor and the apex locator can be used separately when required.

The simple and easy-to use device has been designed for general dental practioners looking to use rotary instrumentation.

It has all the benefits of the existing X-Smart motor with the added feature of the integrated apex locator.

File progression down the canal is clearly shown on the LCD screen and is accompanied by an audio signal when the apex locator function is on.  

Like the original X-Smart, the device has 9 simple programmes, auto-reverse, a re-chargeable battery and the motor is operated from a switch on the handpiece, therefore there is no foot peddle which reduces the amount of wires present.

The motor speeds range from 100-800 rpm.
